Bishop Linval Alafanzo Hendricks, transitioned to the Church of God of Prophecy in South Ozone Park (SOP) on August 6, 1995. He preached his first message entitled, “God is Still Speaking” with the text taken from Hebrews 1. It was evident from the first message that he wanted to remind the church that God is talking in a ‘today’s generation voice’. Since his arrival the ministry team at SOP has increased, leadership has developed and sent forth, many souls have been saved and delivered, a generation have been raised up to walk in their purpose and anointing and many children have been blessed. Bishop believes in, Luke 18:16 “Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God”. He truly believes in equipping people for growth. Every good vision has its share of challenges and victories. While Bishop has experienced many challenges, it does not compare to the victories that have been shared and that he will continue to experience. Through it all he has learned to trust in Jesus, he has learned to trust in God.
